The Client:

Lauriston Girl’s School is one of Melbourne’s most established independent schools based in Armadale. This non-denominational school has been providing education to girls from kinder through to year 12 for more than 120 years. The school is relatively small and doesn’t benefit from the imposing buildings of some of its competitors. However, it offers one of the very best education in Melbourne, is consistently amongst the top IB and VCE achievers and has built a reputation for helping create capable, down-to earth, feisty girls. At its heart is an incredibly strong sense of community.

The Challenge:

After its 120 year anniversary campaign in 2021, Lauriston needed to create a fresh narrative to promote its brand to attract new prospective families to enable them to benefit from the world-class Lauriston education. This is why in 2022, the Lauriston team briefed us to create a compelling video on courage, as the pivotal narrative to express the essence of what Lauriston stands for and showcase the ‘why’ Lauriston. As a core value of the school, we needed to explore how the development of courage in the Lauriston students helped them to develop the skills they need to excel in their life.

The Outcome:

The final video encompassed the viewpoints of students, teachers and alumnae to create a compelling narrative which effectively captured the essence of the Lauriston ethos. This video not only prompted a significant donation to the school, but it was also leveraged at events, in eDMs on the website, and in paid advertising channels, reaching over 5,000 views. This video was cut into 6, 15 and 30 second pre-rolls which is driving significant traffic to the Lauriston website creating an unprecedented volume of enquiries and applications.
