We don’t usually do this, but… we photographed a wedding recently! Not for the bride and groom however, but from the perspective of the wedding venue – RACV Goldfields Resort. There are thousands of photos taken at a wedding, but they focus on the couple and their special day, with the venue usually playing a small role in the background, plus with copyright laws and ownership issues, venues don’t always get to use the fantastic photos for their marketing purposes… so along came Hstudios!
Event Photography is one of the many services we offer, and in the past we have covered events such as Festivals, Award Ceremonies, and Off Road Vehicle Launches, but we as a business don’t actually photograph Weddings. Here at Hstudios we’re focused on working with businesses and helping create great marketing material, but when RACV requested us to showcase their facilities at their best to attract more couples to their beautiful location… that is exactly what we did!
Nestled in Creswick in the heart of Victoria’s beautiful Spa Country between the communities of Daylesford and Ballarat, the RACV Goldfields Resort is surrounded by 150 acres of stunning natural beauty, comprised of rolling hills, a championship golf course, native gardens and the Creswick State Forest.
The resort features an 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Australian golf course architect Tony Cashmore. The 6,200m course incorporates natural vegetation in a bushland setting with fifteen picturesque lagoons, the perfect location for photos of the newlyweds just before sunset.
We captured The Grand Ballroom, which can be split into 3 smaller function rooms to cater for any size event.
The Grand Ballroom can accommodate from 80 to 400 wedding guests including a dance floor, and for this setup a specialty Flower Chandelier was installed above the dance floor.
The Harvest Restaurant can provide any function with spectacular food, the restaurant serves modern Australian cuisine featuring local and regional produce. Pictured below is the deconstructed cheesecake which was served for dessert…. YUM!
RACV Goldfields Resort offers 113 spacious rooms all featuring stunning views of either the golf course or Creswick State Forest, perfect for guests to stay after a great function.
We had a blast photographing this wedding, but please keep in mind Hstudios does not Photograph Weddings under any other circumstances other than at the request of a business for their marketing purposes.
