We are very excited about this years’ upcoming edition of the renowned Ballarat International Foto Biennale, which opens on the 19th of August and runs until the 17th of September 2017.
This will be the 6th time Ballarat has hosted the Foto Biennale, which attracts thousands of photographers and art lovers alike every 2 years, and this year proves to be no different.
During the Foto Biennale there are workshops running on topics such as ‘The art of Food and Wine Photography’ and ‘Post-Production’. They range in price depending on the workshop – the ‘Night Sky Photography’ workshop is free! Anyone can sign up for these workshops, but spaces are limited. Find out more about the available workshops here: ballaratfoto.org/event-category/workshop/.
On top of all the exhibitions and workshops to see and do, there are artist talks and walks. Hear directly from the artists and curators about their work, their process, and maybe even some tips and tricks! ballaratfoto.org/event-category/walks-talks/
This year’s fringe features both local and international artists in over 90 exhibitions, which will take place in more than 70 venues around Ballarat.
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale relies on Volunteers, and you can join the team by applying here: ballaratfoto.org/volunteers
